Updates for May 2022
New search filters. "Contact Sales".
This is the 56th full month (4 years and 8 months) that I worked on Listen Notes full-time.
1) More work on new data fields & UI changes
In April, we added three new data fields-
update_frequency: On average, how frequently a podcast releases a new episode?
audio_length: The average audio length of episodes in a podcast.
amazon_music_url: A podcast’s Amazon Music url.
In May, we added new search filters (update_frequency & audio_length) to web search (w/ Premium Membership) and Listen Datasets -
As we are adding more and more search filters, we have to make the filters UI compact. Therefore, it’s 2-column on desktop now :)
2) “Contact Sales”
We standardized the “Contact Sales” form for our enterprise products, which enables us to add more automation to our sales process in the future.
3) Find podcast pages by Spotify url
Use website (w/ Premium Membership):
POST /podcasts with the spotify_ids parameter
Faster server-side page rendering, e.g., more caching, more database query optimization…
Website/API will continue to work if Redis is down. Most improvements on system reliability are preventive.
Listen Notes, Inc. is a sponsor of Podfest Expo this year, and I went to Orlando, FL last week for the conference. I learned a lot!
