Monthly update for April 2021
Hi there!
This is the 43rd full month (3 YEARS and 7 months) that I worked on Listen Notes full-time. Hope you are doing well and staying safe!
Product updates
1, A mobile-friendly rss viewer. I oftentimes work from phone. It’s inconvenient to see rss source code on a mobile phone. Therefore, this simple rss viewer was built.
2, A bunch of infrastructure improvements, including
Performance improvement on Postgres. Added a bunch of indices. In particular, GIN Indexes help a lot in some tricky situations.
Revamp logging infrastructure & simplify the data pipeline a lot. This reduces a lot of operational complexity. Also, we are able to ingest tons of logs to increase the visibility into our production system & business in general.
Improved caching infra a bit.
3, API Enterprise users are able to see all API logs since the very beginning. Previously, all users can only see past 2 days logs.
4, Added a clear text button to the search bar. It took us almost 4 years to add this little button :)
